Debra Hain
Dr. Hain is a PhD-prepared, board-certified Adult-Gerontological Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 30 years of nephrology nursing experience. She is a tenured Full Professor at a College of Nursing in Florida, where she is recognized for her leadership in advanced practice nursing, mental health, and chronic kidney disease care.
Throughout her distinguished career, Dr. Hain has delivered numerous national and international presentations focusing on the intersection of mental health and kidney disease, emphasizing holistic and evidence-based approaches to patient care. Her scholarly contributions include publications in peer-reviewed journals, authorship of multiple book chapters, and editorial leadership of two nursing textbooks—one dedicated to Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner practice and another centered on geriatric nursing care.
Dr. Hain is widely respected for her commitment to advancing nursing education and improving outcomes for individuals with complex medical needs (i.e., end-stage kidney disease) and mental health conditions.
