Executive Team

  • .Dr. Elijah Wilder, D.O., has a deep passion and commitment to delivering compassionate, high quality, individualized, evidence-based psychiatric care. Through extensive experience managing high acuity patients, including those with CKD and ESRD, he identified a critical gap in accessible mental health services for people requiring kidney care. In response, he collaborated with kidney care leaders to found ACTIVATECR, grounded in the belief that telehealth is the most effective and natural way to meet the mental health needs of people with late-stage CKD and those requiring dialysis.

    Dr. Wilder was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Campbell University. He attended medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed Psychiatry residency training at prestigious Duke University, followed by Addiction Psychiatry fellowship subspecialty training at the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Wilder is dual board-certified in both Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and he is also a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Medical Association. He has over 12 years of experience providing specialized care in mental health and addiction treatment. Prior to joining Renal Psychiatry Services, he has worked in various care settings including inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, detoxification, and residential facilities, and he has recently served as Regional Medical Director for a large addiction treatment consortium with countless facilities across the entire country. He has also held an ongoing appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Cincinnati - Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience.

  • Dr. Hain is a PhD-prepared, board-certified Adult-Gerontological Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 30 years of nephrology nursing experience. She is a tenured Full Professor at a College of Nursing in Florida, where she is recognized for her leadership in advanced practice nursing, mental health, and chronic kidney disease care.

    Throughout her distinguished career, Dr. Hain has delivered numerous national and international presentations focusing on the intersection of mental health and kidney disease, emphasizing holistic and evidence-based approaches to patient care. Her scholarly contributions include publications in peer-reviewed journals, authorship of multiple book chapters, and editorial leadership of two nursing textbooks—one dedicated to Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner practice and another centered on geriatric nursing care.

    Dr. Hain is widely respected for her commitment to advancing nursing education and improving outcomes for individuals with complex medical needs (i.e., end-stage kidney disease) and mental health conditions 

    • With over a decade of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in nephrology, she specializes in supporting CKD and ESKD patients through integrated, patient-centered care. She earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, which enhances her ability to participate with interdisciplinary teams (IDT) with a focus on servant leadership.

    • This year, she was awarded the Nephrology Social Worker - Certification (NSW-C) by the National Kidney Foundation. Her work bridges clinical expertise and compassionate advocacy, ensuring quality outcomes and holistic support for individuals navigating chronic kidney disease.

    • She resides in Mission, Texas. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the beach, and traveling to recharge and stay inspired.

  • Jessica is a LCSW located in South Florida. She was born and raised in Connecticut, and graduated with her bachelors from Marist College. She received her masters at FAU where she earned her Healthy Aging Certificate and was a member of the Phi Alpha Honor Society for social work.

    Jessica has been working with acute and chronic kidney disease patients on dialysis for the past 3 years. She understands the important role that psychotherapy plays to help patients cope with the physical, psychological, and lifestyle burdens of end stage renal disease.

    Jessica is a member of the National Kidney Foundation and has a passion for helping those with chronic illness. She takes a client centered approach and uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to treat depression, and improve health-related quality of life for her clients by helping them reframing negative thoughts. She also uses acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to help her clients utilize mindfulness and behavior change strategies in order to accept uncomfortable emotions rather than fighting them.

    Outside of work, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family, trying new restaurants and cheering on the Florida Panthers hockey team.

  • She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from St. Francis in Peoria, IL. She has worked in the medical field for over 25 years in multiple positions.. Working in the Emergency Room and clinically in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab are high stress positions requiring attention to detail, professionalism, and a desire to assist and provide compassionate care to the patients. Currently, she is working as Chief Operating Officer of a transitional healthcare corporation, and now additionally with ActivateCR.

  • Elizabeth Benamor is a healthcare business development executive with nearly 20 years of experience driving growth, strategic partnerships, and patient-centered initiatives across the nephrology, dialysis, vascular, and renal care industries. Throughout her career, she has built a strong reputation for developing high-value relationships with physicians, healthcare organizations, and interdisciplinary care teams while leading successful market expansion strategies across complex healthcare environments.

    Elizabeth brings expertise in physician engagement, territory development, clinical operations, and healthcare strategy. Her background includes leadership roles with organizations such as Fresenius Medical CareDaVitaBaptist Health South Florida, and CVS Health Coram, where she consistently delivered measurable growth, strengthened referral networks, and supported innovative care solutions.

    Known for her collaborative leadership style and strategic mindset, Elizabeth is passionate about advancing healthcare access, improving patient outcomes, and creating sustainable business growth through innovation and meaningful partnerships.

Paul D. Gordon
  • Healthcare Operations Leader
    & Dialysis Expert

    With over two decades of dedicated service in the dialysis sector, Paul Gordon brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and operational acumen to the healthcare industry. His career spans impactful leadership roles, including Director of Clinical Projects and Patient Services Director, where he has consistently driven initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and patient care.

    At Dialyze Direct, Paul led transformative efforts across 175 facilities, standardizing processes, transitioning admissions documentation to electronic systems, and guiding the organization through the complexities of COVID-19 regulatory adaptations. At Fresenius Kidney Care, he managed the psychosocial needs of diverse patient populations, spearheading cross-functional initiatives to improve patient services and outcomes. During his tenure at Quality Insights Renal Network 4, Paul secured and exceeded CMS-ESRD contract objectives, provided expert guidance on CMS Conditions for Coverage, and successfully led the Patient Services Department.
